Black Bean Burgers with Baked Sweet Potato Fries Recipe
SERVES 4 | FINISH IN 1 hour
Switch up your burgers and fries with a black bean burger and sweet potato fries. Smother your black bean burger with Organicville® Dairy Free Ranch and serve up some extra on the side as a dip for your fries!
Ingredients
Black Bean Burgers
- 2 cans black beans
- 4 green onions
- 1/4 c. lime juice
- 1 t. ground cumin
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 1/4 c. ground flaxseed
- 1/4 c. chopped cilantro
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 4 burger buns
- Toppings: Organicville® Non Dairy Ranch, lettuce, guacamole, grilled onions
Sweet Potato Fries
- 3 large sweet potatoes
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. dried oregano
- 2 tbsp. freeze dried garlic
- 2 tsp. smoked paprika
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- Organicville® Non Dairy Ranch, for dipping
Directions
For Burgers
- Add the beans to a food processor and pulse to mash the beans.
- Add all the other ingredients to the processor and pulse to mix well. Stop and stir, if necessary.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes.
- Shape into 4 balls, pressing firmly. Then flatten into a patty.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the burgers for 5 minutes per side, or until a crust forms.
- Serve – place on a bun and top with desired toppings such as Organicville® Non Dairy Ranch, lettuce, guacamole, and grilled onions
For Sweet Potato Fries
- Preheat the oven to 450. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Cut the sweet potatoes into thin matchsticks. Toss them with the spices and oil.
- Arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Stir and bake again for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve with Organicville® Non Dairy Ranch.
